Who are you, what do you do, and where are you from?
My name is Stefano D'Amico. An Italian pianist, composer, and music producer from Turin.
What does sustainability mean to you?
To me, sustainability is love for our planet. To live in a sustainable society means to love the Earth as we love ourselves. If the Earth is healthy, we are healthy. We live because of it. We are here because of it. Thanks to what it gives to us, we should never take it for granted. To be sustainable is a necessary action for us and for our future.
How do you incorporate sustainability into your daily life as an artist?
As a musician, I try to raise awareness on these issues anytime I can. I share posts on my social accounts, I sign for petitions, I also dedicated my EP , "Tribute to the Earth" to the beauty of the planet and how it's at risk nowadays.
What impact can artists have on sustainability?
Music is the most frequent form of art in our daily lives. We hear music, and listen to music whenever and wherever. While we're resting, while we're traveling, when going to work or watching a movie. Music is always with us. Therefore, I believe for the artists is the right means to raise awareness. To spread the message to their fans. Through songs and videos.
